In the run-up to Christmas, the traditional charity event called Punching, organized by the Children to Children initiative, was held again at the Christmas market in front of the Šumperk Town Hall. This popular event combines the good with the useful - one of the partners always sells Christmas punch at the stall, with all the proceeds going to a good cause.

This year, our Olomouc branch of Campers4U joined this wonderful initiative, sending their salesman Tomáš Mráz, who proved once again that his sales qualities are unsurpassed! Despite the bad weather he managed to collect a beautiful 14 520 CZK.

Who did we punch for?

This year, the proceeds from the event went to 12-year-old David, who needs a special tricycle. Davídek's story is full of courage, strength and perseverance:

Davídek was born prematurely and after complications after birth, doctors diagnosed him with cerebral palsy - spastic triparesis. Thanks to his parents' tireless care, rehabilitation and Davídek's determination, he has made incredible progress. He now manages to walk with trekking poles and uses a wheelchair for longer distances.

Davídek is completely mentally well, loves sports and enjoys playing table tennis, in which he excels. Last year he even won first place in a children's tournament, which was a great joy for his family. A special tricycle would allow him more freedom of movement and the joy of being able to ride independently.

Amazing punching result

The total proceeds from the event at the Christmas market were an incredible £623,281. This amount will not only help Davídek, but also other children who need help.
