Camping on hot summer days is a joy — but sometimes it is nice to retreat into the shade or to a place with room temperature. Here are 6 tips on how to prevent the sun from getting inside. ☀️
Aluminum window shade
The simplest and unbeatable solution — reflects up to 100% of incoming rays. Protects not only against the sun but also against frost in winter. Easy to fold and store.
Always put windows in the shade
Park in the shade — if possible. Ideally under a canopy or pergola. If not, look for a place where there is shade at least part of the day.
Get a pergola
Sometimes it is part of the standard equipment, other times it has to be purchased separately. Either way, it protects not only against the sun but also against light rain.
For the most effective shade, orient the pergola to southeast. When the sun goes down, add a shading cloth behind the pergola — more shade and more privacy.
Fan instead of air conditioning
Air conditioning creates coolness, but it is not the most energy-efficient solution. Moreover, some people do not tolerate rapid temperature changes well.
The fan is the best friend. With one fan, open the window for better circulation. With two, you do not need to open the window — set them so that one blows air inside and the other outside.
Use LED lights
In newer caravans this is standard. If you still do not have LED, we recommend fixing that. They emit much less heat than traditional incandescent bulbs and saves a lot of energy.
Hide the hose
When hiding from the heat, don't forget about water either. If on a hose or a reservoir the sun blazes all day, you will have a nice hot shower in the evening.
