Do you remember your first caravan trip? We really remember ours! When we first went to Austria, we didn’t exactly know what to do upon arriving at the campsite. That’s why we made this guide, so you don’t have to fumble.
7 steps on how to camp properly:
Registration at the camp
Upon arrival, visit reception — you will receive a magnetic card / chip for the entrance barrier and information about the campsite. Modern campsites allow digital check-in, it significantly speeds it up.
Parking (with mover)
Drive slowly through the campsite to the plot. After getting out pair the mover controller with the caravan. Park carefully and level it using an app or a level.
Stabilization of the caravan
Pull handbrake and pad wedges to the wheels. Unscrew stabilizing legs — manually or with a cordless drill.
Electricity and water connection
Prepare yourself extension cord (the outlet may be far). Connect to electricity, check the functionality of the appliances. Do not forget about a sufficiently long water hose.
Wastewater handling
If you don't have a direct waste, use external container for gray water. Place it under the caravan drain, ensure proper adjustment.
Shower and toilet
For a comfortable shower, we recommend external water boilerPrepare the toilet with special preparations recommended by the toilet manufacturer — operation, cleanliness, and no odor.
Make yourself comfortable 🎉
Congratulations — already you live! Now just pull it out and secure it awning, take out the armchairs and put your feet up.
