Practical motorhome information
Most Italian motorways charge by distance. A motorhome’s class depends on height at the front axle and the number of axles; some sections use barrier-free electronic tolling.
Suggested bases: Camping Moosbauer v Bolzanu, Live Merano Camping. Check the operating season, vehicle limits and availability directly with each operator before arrival.
Use campsites or explicitly permitted motorhome stopovers for overnight stays. A daytime parking space at an attraction is not automatically an overnight site.
