Practical motorhome information
On French toll motorways, class is based mainly on height, maximum authorised mass and axle count. A typical motorhome up to 3.5 t and 3 m high is generally class 2; taller or heavier vehicles fall into class 3 or 4.
Suggested bases: Camping du Lac Kir v Dijonu, Camping Les Premières Vignes u Beaune. Check the operating season, vehicle limits and availability directly with each operator before arrival.
Use campsites or explicitly permitted motorhome stopovers for overnight stays. A daytime parking space at an attraction is not automatically an overnight site.
Refill fresh water and empty waste water only at designated campsite or service points. Confirm current facilities when booking.
Sources and current visitor information
Before travelling, check the operators’ websites for current closures, bookings and timetables.
