Bohemian Paradise and Lake Mácha
Rock towns, Trosky Castle on the horizon and an evening swim in Lake Mácha—Bohemian Paradise is an ideal first trip with a new motorhome, with short drives and clearly designated places to park. It is only 68 kilometres from the Brandýs branch, leaving plenty of time for walks among the rocks.
It is 68 kilometres from the Brandýs branch on an actual motorhome route. Spend the day at Lake Mácha, whose gently shelving water is suitable for children; stay overnight at Autokemp Klůček or Chatová osada Bílý Kámen near the shore, because wild camping is not permitted here.
Follow the Golden Trail of Bohemian Paradise to viewpoints among the rocks around Hrubá Skála and climb the twin towers of Trosky Castle, the symbol of the region. The short drives mean you can leave the motorhome in a car park and set off lightly equipped.
Spend the day in the Prachov Rocks on circuits through gorges and viewpoints among sandstone towers that children can manage as well. Return to the campsite in the evening for a peaceful night.
Walk through Renaissance Jičín, with Valdštejnské Square and the avenue leading to Valdická Gate, then enjoy an easy return home without a long drive.
Vehicles over 3.5 t do not need a vignette, but pay tolls via an on-board unit (mytocz.eu).
Chatová Osada Bílý Kámen, Autokemp Klůček, Preciosa and others nearby.
Wild camping outside a campsite is generally not permitted; a short overnight stay in a car park is sometimes tolerated, but not in protected landscape areas or national parks. Use a campsite or motorhome stopover.
Drinking water and waste disposal are available at nearby campsites or motorhome stopovers.
Adria Matrix
A spacious Matrix is well suited to a first family trip with short drives between rock towns—it offers enough beds and a large garage for bikes, and the destination is just a short distance from the Brandýs branch.
