Šumava and Lipno
Lipno's gently shelving water for children, the Šumava peat bogs around Modrava and Kvilda, and the wildest part of the Czech countryside in the heart of the national park. Lipno Dam is 153 kilometres from the Příbram branch, followed only by short drives along the lake.
Arrive at the reservoir (153 km from the Příbram branch on an actual motorhome route) and enjoy your first swim from the gently shelving shore. Stay overnight at Camping Lipno Modřín by the water, which has waste disposal, electricity and showers.
Drive along the left bank via Frymburk to Nová Pec. Use Stellplatz Frymburk, with full facilities (waste disposal, electricity and showers), as your base.
Explore the highest peat bogs and forests of the national park around Modrava and Kvilda. Camping Panorama has waste disposal and water; in Šumava National Park, use designated stopovers.
Make a final stop at Srní, refill your water and leave before the afternoon rush.
Vehicles over 3.5 t do not need a vignette, but pay tolls via an on-board unit (mytocz.eu).

Wild camping outside a campsite is generally not permitted; a short overnight stay in a car park is sometimes tolerated, but not in protected landscape areas or national parks. Use a campsite or motorhome stopover.
Drinking water and waste disposal are available at nearby campsites or motorhome stopovers.
