Four days in Slovenia, from Alpine Bled at the foot of the Julian Alps through the Soča Valley to the coast at Piran—from the mountains to the sea in one compact country. Bled, at the confluence of the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka rivers, is 511 kilometres from the Hodonín branch, leaving you time to explore both the Alpine north and the coast. Wild camping is prohibited and subject to fines, but there is a dense network of campsites.

Itinerary
Day 1Arrival at Bled

On the first day, travel from the Hodonín branch to Bled at the foot of the Julian Alps, a town at the confluence of the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka rivers. Park at the fully equipped PZA Bled, with waste disposal, water, electricity and showers. Wild camping is prohibited in Slovenia and fines are enforced, so use campsites from the start.

Day 2A Day by the Alpine Town

Spend the second day around Bled at a relaxed pace beneath the Julian Alps. Camping Bled also offers comfortable, fully equipped facilities where you can return to rest after the day. The surroundings are best explored on foot, so leave the vehicle at the campsite.

Day 3Through the Soča Valley

On the third day, head into the mountainous interior towards the Soča, where the landscape takes on a wilder Alpine character. Stay overnight at a motorhome stopover before continuing. Because wild camping is prohibited, plan to spend the night at a campsite or motorhome stopover.

Day 4To the Sea at Piran

On the final day, reach the coast at Piran and complete a journey that has taken you from the mountains to the sea. You will find an overnight base at a campsite within reach of the coast. The historic seaside centre is best explored on foot, so park the vehicle and discover the town at walking pace.
